How can you tell a really terrific motivational speaker, professional speaker, articulate inspirational speaker or keynote speaker?
If you are sitting in the audience it will soon become patently obvious if the speaker is going to motivate you. For one thing, within his first few words he will have captured your attention and held it. You will be eagerly awaiting his next few points. It's all a question of knowing the tricks of the trade and putting them to good use. The first thing an awesome motivational speaker, great professional speaker, bubbly inspirational speaker or invited motivational speaker has to do is to capture the attention of his audience - there is no exception to this rule. Once he has their attention he has to hang on to it, and there are many little tricks that good effective speakers use to do this. The bottom line in keeping the audience's attention is that the speech has to be interesting, so it helps if the invited motivational speaker, dedicated professional speaker, elected inspirational speaker or local keynote speaker knows his subject backwards. It is very difficult to give any sort of presentation if you know nothing about the subject of the speech. If it's a subject that you know little about, it's imperative that you research the subject thoroughly well before the date of the presentation and that you rehearse the speech several times so that you know it backwards. He uses eye contact, he uses body language in his stance, his facial expressions and his gestures. He projects his voice without shouting. His whole façade exudes confidence, sincerity and enthusiasm. When his speech is over, the inspirational motivational speaker around, booked professional speaker, moving inspirational speaker or important keynote speaker leaves an audience eager to go out and do something positive.
