Presentation Skills does not mean Name Dropping

Presentation skills training teaches you that each time you change the word that is emphasized, a different meaning can be given to the sentence. You can go a little further by using a sliding inflection on a word. The good use of inflection is the master key to how you express yourself  in front of an audience- with its effective use you can move listeners to tears or have them rolling in laughter, even at serious business conferences or stiff boardroom meetings. It's difficult not to be enthusiastic when you are talking about something that you sincerely believe in. No amount of presentation skills awareness can teach you true enthusiasm. Authentic enthusiasm can best be described as the way that you show your belief in your subject or topic. People who have dynamic personalities will probably show their enthusiasm on the podium in their dynamic movements, whereas those people who have a more demure or retiring personality will more than likely show their enthusiasm in a positive and convincing manner around content.  Avoid hiding behind pretence of grandeur as this will probably be displayed as a boring mouthing of words. I have listened to a speaker some time back at a showcase that thought that name dropping and attractive presentation skills are one and the same thing. Her evaluation cards showed poor responses from prospective buyers. Rather loosen up - loosen your mind, your body and your emotions and your audience will pick this up and be appreciative. An easy and quick way to improve on your presentation skills efficiency is to treat yourself to one of our workshops.
