Tweaking Your Presentation Skills according to the Audience

It is time to think more about tweaking your presentation skills. When you have decided on the subject matter and topic of your presentation or speech, arrange your thoughts and ideas into a number of headings and get them down on paper or in a visual electronic format - whichever format suits you. Many presenters prefer to divide their presentations into "3's" in order to remember the flow more easily and help them to visualize the presentation. If you have been engaged to speak to a particular group of people in the corporate world, for example the marketing department; a group of executives or sales representatives all of whom have a stake in a particular trade, do a little research before you set about creating your presentation. Find out a little about the history of the organization, company or group - maybe about their founder, and include some interesting facts that maybe the audience does not know. This is one of the easiest presentation skills to implement. Or include some new information about products and services whether it includes new market research data or client and customer feedback. Use phrases like: "There have been some interesting trends backed-up by significant statistics lately....." When your audience sees that you have taken some trouble before doing your presentation and display superior presentation skills, they will be in your hands. Whether you are experienced or not, something to seriously consider is also to attend one of our very popular Gauteng presentation skills workshops in Johannesburg, Pretoria or Midrand.
